iQiYi's first Southeast Asian original and exclusive drama series "The Ferryman: Legends of Nanyang" brings together a strong cast of Ma Xin, including iQiYi's first international promotion ambassador Wang Guan Yi, Qi Yu Wu, Xu Zheng Ping, Jenny Hu, Wu Li Xuan and Lin Ming Zhen.

"The Ferryman: Legends of Nanyang" is an adaptation of the classic suspense IP "Soul Ferry" by iQiYi, based on the original story with Singapore and Malaysia "World War II" as the main story background, recreating the history of the New Malaysia region at that time. The drama will be produced by famous director Guo Jingyu, produced by veteran media producer Yang Xibin, directed by the original "Soul Ferry" director Guo Shimin and Singapore's famous director Xie Minyang, and starring Wang Guangyi, Ou Xuan, and Qi Yuwu in the lead roles.

"The Ferryman: Legends of Nanyang" tells the story of Xia Dongqing (Wang Guan Yi), who has the eye of yin and yang, and Zhao Li (Qi Yuwu), a soul ferryman, who help souls who stay on earth because they have unfinished business. Xia Dongqing grew up in an orphanage, and in the process of preparing for graduate school, he came to work at a 444 convenience store and accidentally discovered that the store was a link between two different latitudes, that is, a "soul station". The manager of the convenience store is Zhao Li, who works as a civil servant in the underworld, the so-called "soul ferryman". Zhao Li has been stationed at the convenience store for 500 years, ushering in and out every day, guiding the ghosts to the world they should go to. The arrival of Xia Dongqing makes him stop acting alone. He then makes Xia Dongqing his partner, and together they help the spirits who are stranded on earth because they have unfinished business.

Taiwanese starlet Kate Kinney plays the ‘civilian’ joining the duo on their otherworldly assignments. Along the way, the trio meets all sorts of spooky entities, including a two-horned devil, portrayed by Tay Ping Hui (he looks more goofy than scary in the trailer).

The episodes unfold in parallel timelines, with each episode featuring new ghosts from various folklore and mythology - including the Ghost Bride, the beauty- and power-obsessed Nine-Tailed Fox and the Two-Horned Demon.

"The Ferryman: Legends of Nanyang" is the first Akiyo original production to use Dolby Atmos technology and 4K high picture quality, allowing viewers to feel the immersive sound and visual experience when watching the drama.
